Adopting a pet isn’t just about bringing home a new friend—it’s about changing a life! You’ve opened your heart and home to a pet in need, and that’s something worth celebrating.
At My Corner Vet in Nedlands, Perth, we believe every adopted pet deserves a fresh start, full of belly rubs, zoomies, and top-notch care. That’s why we’ve created the Pay It Forward program—to make sure your new best friend gets the love, attention, and healthcare they deserve.
Because second chances should always come with tail wags and happy purrs.
Pet Adoptions in WA
These figures are based on annual reports from key adoption facilities, including RSPCAWA, SAFE, Cat Haven, and Shenton Dog Refuge. They represent intake and adoption numbers from these organisations but may not reflect the full picture of pet surrenders and adoptions across all shelters.
What’s Included?
As part of our Pay It Forward program, your adopted pet gets access to:
✔ Discount on professional fees (because great care shouldn’t break the bank).
✔ Personalised care tailored to their unique needs.
✔ Ongoing support to help them settle into their forever home.
💡 Note: This program covers veterinary services only—so while we’d love to give out free treats and toys, some exclusions apply (see below).
Who’s Eligible? (Hint: Adopted Pets & Their Humans!)
To qualify, your pet must be:
✔ Adopted from a recognised shelter or rescue organisation.
✔ Able to provide proof of adoption (an adoption certificate does the trick!).
It’s our way of giving a little extra love to those giving pets a second chance at happiness.

The Not-So-Boring Terms & Conditions
We like to keep things simple, but here’s the fine print:
❌ No sneaky add-ons—this program applies to professional veterinary services only (e.g. checkups, vaccinations, surgeries).
❌ Retail items, over-the-counter products, and medications are not included.
✔ Proof of adoption is required at your first visit.
✔ This program is non-transferable (your adopted pet gets the perks, not your neighbour’s goldfish).
